Candice West

Candice holds a MA in Music and a PGCS in Secondary Music and was a secondary school music teacher. She worked with children and young people delivering one-to-one instrumental tuition, curriculum music lessons and extra-curricular music activities. During this time, Candice became increasingly frustrated at the inequality of opportunity and lack of inclusion that exists within the Arts and began working on small projects to improve diversity and inclusion at Northamptonshire Music and Arts, before becoming an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion there working to improve EDI within the organisation for students and staff.

Candice is hugely passionate about ensuring that everybody has access to opportunities to participate in and feel fully included. In her role at EqualiTeach Candice works with teachers and school leaders to improve equality, diversity and inclusion within schools.
